The Kilburn Law Firm Helps Wounded Veterans through Paws and Stripes
Paws and Strips is a non-profit organization serving wounded veterans by providing them with service dogs trained by professionals. Paws and Stripes’ website states that the intent is to provide the dogs and the training at “no cost to the veteran. About 36 veterans and dogs have been matched through this program. The cost per matchup is about $2,500. The Kilburn Law Firm organized a fundraiser event in Las Vegas, NM, which raised $4,000 for the cause.

Explorer Foundation Reception
On March 15, 2012, the Kilburn Law Firm was the Platinum Sponsor of the Explorer Foundation Reception of the Ohio Oil and Gas Association’s Winter Conference. The Conference was held in Columbus, Ohio, and focused on regulatory issues, government relations and policy updates relating to the Utica Shale. The Firm’s participation with the Ohio Oil and Gas Association represents its commitment to ease the transition for its clients into the Utica Shale play, along with other areas in the Eastern United States.
NAPE Charities Industry Luncheon
On February 23, 2012, the Kilburn Law Firm participated as a key sponsor of the NAPE Charities Industry Luncheon at the George R. Brown Convention Center, which featured President George W. Bush as the keynote speaker. All monies raised at the event were donated to charities benefiting America’s veterans and active duty military personnel.
Wounded Warriors in Transition Battalion
Representatives from the Kilburn Law Firm and the South Texas College of Law Students Supporting Troops organization travelled to San Antonio on December 16, 2011 to deliver more than $5,000.00 in donations to over 200 soldiers in the Wounded Warriors in Transition Battalion at the Brooke Army Medical Hospital. The Wounded Warriors in Transition Battalion assists wounded servicemen and their families throughout the recovery and transition process.
Rice Energy Finance Summit
The Kilburn Law Firm proudly co-sponsored the Rice Energy Finance Summit held October 27, 2011 at Rice University. The summit was created to promote forward-thinking discussions on the most pertinent energy issues, and to facilitate valuable relationships through the exchange of knowledge and ideas. This year's conference, Exploring the Unconventional, addressed ways in which the unlocking of vast resources through unconventional drilling affects the global economy, business activity, innovation, geopolitics, and domestic policy.
Company of the Year Award
The Kilburn Law Firm received the Houston Association of Professional Landmen Company of the Year Award at the HAPL 57th Annual Executive Night Dinner held October 26, 2011 at the Hilton Americas Hotel. The annual award recognizes an outstanding company within the Oil and Gas Industry for its contributions in support of the Land Profession and civic and charitable contributions to its local community.
HAPL Shale Play Symposium
The Kilburn Law Firm hosted and co-sponsored the third annual HAPL Shale Symposium held October 2, 2014. The Seminar presented a wide range of topics from Land and Legal issues in the Utica, Marcellus and Eagle Ford shale, issues concerning land and regulatory problems related to horizontal wells, and mineral ownership under rivers and streams.
